Thumbs down someone broke into my inlaws house durig church

Our ds was in the church play this morning so my inlaws decided to come and see him. When they got home they found that someone had broken into their home. As far as we know none of the presents were taken but some very important equipment that mil needs for work was so they were hit kind of hard. They do have insurance but I am sure it will take time to replace the equipment and until then she will lose income. They are shaken to say the least so keep them in your prayers!

How sad for them - sorts of tears apart your safe world. Prayers and aloha to all of you.

Sorry to hear that. Tis the season. Our neighborhood has undergone a large turnover. One of the factors in deciding to put the tree and presents in the MIL apt not the living room window this year. Also put blinds up on the walk in pantry this year too.

Sorry hmcart! That is horrible. I hope they catch whoever did it.

Our crime rate is way up this year. We have had home invasion robberies which are scary.

Wonder why they didn't take the presents or anything else? Just the work equiptment? Sounds like maybe they also "needed" it or knew someone they could sell it to quickly. If so, then they knew it was in the house before breaking in. Just my ex Sheriffs Dept mind working here.

How did they get it? New locks or maybe a security system. They may be back if it was easy and now know what is in there. Not to be an alarmist just safety first especially if they are older.
