    Unhappy I feel bad..

I feel bad, I was driving the kids to school this morning and there was a dead lady lying on the side of the road. She wasnt alone there were people standing around her but not trying to help her. I would have stopped and offer help but I didnt want the kids to see, well my daughter saw and asked what happened I told her it was an accident.
I just feel bad for this poor woman and I didnt help. I dont know if I would have been of any help either, but still.

If she had people around her, I'm sure someone already called the authorities. You couldn't have done anything but gotten in the way in that case.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Thanks Greebo, my DH said the same thing when I told him. He also mentioned it wouldnt have been good for the children so I did the right thing.

Yup - you did the right thing. It's hard to feel and know that there is really nothing you can do about a situation. Take care.

I would have kept on going too. No reason to traumetize your kids and the people were prob. waiting for the authorities. I always say a prayer and go on.

    Yep, what they said...

If you have kids with you, you aren't going to be a lot of help. And, if there were people there already, then things were being handled.

You did the right thing. People were already there and you didn't need to upset your kids.

I don't think I would have stopped had I seen people around the dead person. I'm sure the police/ambulance were on their way. No use in getting in the way and upsetting your kids.

Was it a car accident? What do you think happened? Was it on the news?

Nothing for you to do. Kids didn't need to in the mix. You did right.

It wasn't a car accident, she was just laying on the side of the road, It could have been a hit and run but it was 7am and I know she was a housekeeper (uniform she was wearing) for one of the big hotels here.

No mention on the local news, nothing in todays paper, nothing in the police blotter printed in the paper, mind you the paper runs a day behind.

I didnt sleep well last night either, but thank you all for the support its exactly what I needed to read first thing this morning.
