Default vote your best challenge at FV

I am curious to know which of the many challenges here at FV has been the best/most beneficial to you. I started here late and I know that there will be some challenges started for 2010.
Are there any challenges you wish can be started? If so, what are they?
    Thanks my FV family!

I love challenges here .. my main problem is failure to follow through. They ALL motivate me .. I let myself down .. the challenges don't.

I want to see a "Fling 2010" things cause I didn't see that one until this month.

Actually I hope all the challenges get picked up again.

I'd love to do some kinda Decorating Challenge. Ya know, something like Decorating on a Dime challenge. Before and after pics would be great, but not a rule. Even "in the works" shots are fun to see. Maybe somebody else could elaborate on more details for it. My mind isn't working great right now..(it wasn't working yesterday either) Shhhh!! lol!

Does that sound like fun to anybody else, or is it true what my kids say about me?...."crazy NYer"...lol

Looking forward to you's guys answers!

I think that is a great suggestion. I hope we can do that. If no one does it, then why don't you. I will be in it for sure!

It can be as small or as big of a project as anyone wants. The idea would be to do it for as little money as possible, and the cost of your imagination re-purposing things you already own etc.

I was going to start it after the holidays since I'm sure most of you are quite busy. I don't celebrate them, but I do have 2 rooms planned for re-dos in January anyway. Do you think that's better timing for everyone?

So glad to see your name here Polly! Been meaning to ask you how things were going with you son's room?

Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this challenge and I hope we get more on board. So does everybody think beginning it around 1/2010? I personally need some time (to get my paint etc)., and I don't doubt for a minute that everyone else will too. Agreed then?

My most beneficial would be the stockpiling challenge. There's actually a couple of them but those have been most helpful to me although I haven't posted on them for awhile.

Also the debt reduction has been very interesting. We hit over a million!!!
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I would like to see the challenges that were successful this year continue into 2010. I like the decorating idea one as well but I don't have any rooms to work on but will follow the thread for future ideas!

I will be watching for more great ideas!

Without a shadow of a doubt, I'd have to say the "Lose-A-Pound-A-Week Challenge". I'm 100% sure that if madhen hadn't started it to motivate us and/or hold us accountable, I wouldn't have lost a pound.

Well since this is a forum of frugality, my favorite challenges are all about saving money.

    1. Debt reduction- I love this as I can see my progress by tracking our debt in my signature and stay inspired by everyone else's posts.
    2. No eating out challenge- as empty nesters it's very easy to just eat out, especially with our flexible work schedules. This challenge has really saved us a ton of this year. We do still eat out but not near as much as we used to and even DH has started to question eating out vs. staying home and saving the money.

While there are several challenges I participate in these 2 are the most important ones to me and the most improved personally all because they make me accountable financially.
