I know it is very cold. But DH has a job offer and I would love any input from anyone who lives there or has been there. What are rents like, food costs etc. Dh would probably fly in and out weekly or biweekly, because we wouldn't want to move the kids at first.
Anyone have any suggestions good bad or ugly?

The pay is a HUGE increase, almost double what he is making. So we are trying to figure out how much it would cost to have a small apartment etc and see if it is worth it financially.

I also know there is a northern living tax credit/ allowance that allows for big tax deductions for living/working up north so if you know how that works I would love to know about that too.

Lastly, do any of you have commuting husbands? That would fly in and out every week or two? Whats it like?

I am all worked up about it all, and wishing my mind didn't have to think about this just now.
