Helping the needy? Pt.2 A Success!
I posted a thread before about helping a needy family. They asked for some outrageous gifts but some doable gifts also. My coworkers and I have, hopefully, pulled off a nice Christmas for this family.
All 5 kids received very nice presents. Our principal asked us if we were crazy because we bought the family so much stuff, then he started laughing. He always gives us a hard time, we love him. My dd and I bought some items last night and 3 of us went shopping after school today. One of our administrators delivered the rest of the gifts a little while ago.
We all felt so good providing some kind of Christmas for this family. I hope they are happy. I know I feel good inside.Carrie, ravenmaniac - I love my Ravens!!!!

That is great!
We took a couple of items to the local fire station last night. It was the last day to give presents for Toys For Tots.
We also have a friend that was rear ended on his motorcycle a couple of weeks ago. A bunch of us have "adopted" him and are taking him places, cooking, cleaning, running errands, etc. It does turn out the THIRD TIME DRUNK DRIVER had insurance and he will be able to have the surgery necessary for his knee. The bad news is that he is self-employed and can't work. So we are doing everything we can for him.
Merry Christmas!Mary

Good to see you decided to still help out this family. I hope this will help the children and the children understand that people do care about them.
