I am glad to be off the next 2 days!
The ER has been so stressful this week that I am so glad to be off the next 2 days!! The snow kept many away the past weekend. So, Monday and Tuesday we have been swamped. AND on top of that, there are people wanting to be seen for stuff before Christmas. ER......EMERGENCY ROOM????? Ok.....lady with the 2 month old with "dry skin". GO to the pediatrician. Don't tell me, "well my baby has had this dry skin for 2 months and I was given a cream for it but I haven't tried it. You think you guys can get rid of this dry skin before we take pictures on Christmas Eve?"

My dh is a pharmacist at a hospital. Let's just say he hasn't had much Christmas cheer. I hope you enjoy your time off.

I'm off, but have had to go by the library yesterday and today. It was quite dead in the med school, but I saw a couple of doctors in there -- probably refugees from the hospital side, just praying their beepers would leave them alone for a few minutes.

Well, I enjoyed my 2 days off. I made the best of them too. I am back at work. I have to work Christmas and the weekend as well. My first patient............"I've had a runny nose and sneezing for 3 weeks." WHY DO YOU WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS TO BE SEEN IN THE ER!! Wonder why it is a 5 hour wait. Not one emergency in the emergency room!! 12 hours is going to seem like 12 days!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
