I Finally Finished My Bread Tie Garland
For the last 3 years, I have saved the colored bread ties from our bread....and each year, the kids & I have had fun making a garland for the Christmas tree...adding to it each year. Well, its finally finished and it doesn't look as silly as I thought that it might

Here's a few pics:

Thanks for the idea. That really is clever and I'm sure it was great fun to do. I hope I remember this idea for when I want to use it. I save the little twist ties, but so far only a few at a time.

Looks really good! Thats a great idea!
Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

What a fun idea - talk about tradition!! What are you going to do next?

I love this! How great. I was saving the ties, but never use them, so started throwing them away. I am not sure I could save for three years. Maybe these could go on my DH's tree (a smaller version). Thanks so much!

Hmmmm....I don't know. Since we'll be opening presents tonight, I might surprise the kids with something else in the morning. I'll probably hang candy canes as ornements on the tree (alot of people do that)...and I was thinking about clothepinning a dollar on the tree for each child - something that they're not expecting

That is SUCH a clever idea! I remember you posting about it last year (?) and wondering what it looked like. It turned out great!
I don't think I could get that many bread ties saved before my cats run off with them. Not to mention they would make the tree even more irresistible to them

Looks very nice and a great family to do. This is the stuff kids remember.
