    Default We have ourselves a Christmas Miracle

    If you check my previous posts, you will notice I hate Christmas, always have. The drama, the cost, the parties, the gifts, the food - blech.

    Against my better judgement, I let my husband drag me out to the stores for some last minute shopping after I had my blood test. I've been having trouble adjusting to my thyroid medication, it made me feel all weird and moody and bloated.

    So, there I am cursing my husband for dragging me out into the fray, and sitting pouting in the car when I receive a call from my doctors office.

    After three years of trying and exactly 5 weeks on the thyroid medication, we are pregnant. They just ran a test on the fly without telling us. It happened so fast that all my symptoms were attributed to the wrong dosage on the meds instead of actual pregnancy symptoms. If all goes well, we are due in early September.

    This is such a humbling shock after so many tears and disappointments. I know friends here have said prayers on my behalf, I just wanted you to literally be the first (beside DH and myself) to hear the news.

    Love to you all, and a very Merry Christmas to you all. I guess my grinch days are over. I will never forget this.
