Smile Snow was the best Christmas present

It snowed this year. We definitely had a White Christmas.
So much snow that we were snowed in.

It ended up causing many happy presents such as.

It was such a pretty sight

We ended up have an extended Christmas visit from my mother 3 and 1/2 days instead of just 1 and 1/2

Happy play time in the snow for the children and hubby as they played and worked at shoveling us out. It was great to see them working and laughing together. Great fun.

Plenty of down time to enjoy each other.

Yes I think the snow was one of the best Christmas presents.

We had snow for Christmas but the rain has basically washed it away now. Which I do not mind since I enjoy walking.

Glad you enjoyed it. Moved from Ohio and while loved to look at it, didn't want to go out in it.

Glad also you got to spend more time at mothers. That's always a nice thing.

We were robbed!!! We usually always wake up to a fresh blanket of snow on Christmas...this year on Christmas Eve day we had freezing rain...then on Christmas we had rain with 40 degree temps...today we woke up to a fresh blanket of snow...talk about a day late.

This morning for us was the first day without it snowing since Christmas Eve. Like you I was thrilled to be snowed in. Kept the immediate family home and kept everyone else away. It isn't often that happens. I was also super happy that the worst day was Christmas and all my dear friends in the food service industry were off. Nice no one had to call out or risk a drive in.

She got snowed in at our house. So the children had to spend the nights on the floor in our room so Grandma could have one of the rooms. ( daughter had to give up her bed son just didn't want to miss out on the slumber party in Mom and Dad's room) Four night slumber party!!!

We have only been out in the snow to shovel a path and play in it. The car hasn't left the drive way since the snow started on Wednesday. Only Emergency roads were open.

We got lots of snow. Do you know how hard it is to explain to your dog that she has to wait to go outside and potty until you you have shoved the snow out of the way so you can open the door? She did wait patiently

They say it hasn't snowed here significantly on Christmas Day since the 1940s (FAR before I was born) but it snowed quite a bit here Christmas eve and on Christmas Day (couple of inches), so that was a unique thrill. Everyone took pictures of their house in lights, decorations, AND snow, which will likely be on Christmas cards for years to come. Snow is a mixed blessing here, though, because we're not used to it much. My son is a police officer, so he worked quite a few serious accidents on Christmas eve, which made him pretty sad. All in all, it was a very nice Christmas, the house filled with good friends, family, too many dogs (relatives' and friends' dogs staying for the holidays), and WAY too much food. Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday!

At our house we are currently on day 5 of not driving because of the weather. It is very grand.
