Default dh threw his back out :(

dh threw his back out yesterday. He bent over to pick up a fishing pole and it just happened. I couldnt carry him into the house so my two neighbors carried him in for me. He's on the room floor and cant even roll over Called our doctor who said to bring him in monday. Luckily we had some vicodin so I didnt need to take him to an urgent care clinic. He's had to pee into empty gatorade bottles, drink out of a straw, and hasn't ate wnything but 3 ritz crackers and a cliff bar since lunch time yesterday I'm exhausted. I've been rotating heat and ice like the doc said and trying to keep him hydrated and as comfortable as possible.

This happened to my dh last winter. He bent over to pick up his tennis shoes and out went the back. Luckily he was standing right beside the bed so we got him into it. He could get up to the bathroom if I helped him up. Took him into the clinic the next morning and it was his HIP not his back! The dr. said we bend over sideways and it throws the hip out of place. He did some manipulation on him and got it back into place and he was fine in a couple of days!

Hopefully they can get your dh fixed right up! I know about being exhausted taking care of them. I had the flu and had to care for dh and go outside and put wood in our outdoor stove, etc. HUGS!

It sounds like he's in a lot of pain. I hope he feels better soon.

Oh no!! As someone who has been there and done that...I am so sorry!! How lucky he is to have you to help him! Hope he heals quickly..although unfortunately it usually takes quite awhile to recover from something like that. HUGS!

does he have a herniated disk? sounds like it.
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.
