Default Will you be saving for anything in 2010?

Well, it is time to get back on the wagon with saving. November and December I went a little crazy. First a new vacuum, spent more so it would last longer. December, went to NYC which was not planned, and needed some other things.

SOOOOO, I need to get back into the saving mode. This year I plan on saving for a small vacation to see someone I haven't seen in years. If I can manage it, I may spring for a laptop in August, but if that does not happen will not be the end of the world.

Even though I still plan on hitting the end of season sales in January, still planning on saving.

So how about you. Do you plan on saving for anything in 2010, big or small. If so, what are your plans?

Besides the emergency fund, I'll be saving toward vacation, new living room furniture, new laptop, deck construction/hot tub, and saving for next Christmas too.

In addition to our emergency fund and sinking fund; I have recently decided to save for an Alaskan Cruise for DH and me!! I love going on cruises; he's never been and is not convinced that he would like it. We both would love to visit Alaska, so I figure this might be the way to go. And if I save for it in advance - think that would clinch the deal!!

The last step before listing our house for sale is to fix the large picture window we have in the living room. We need an entirely new window and will also need to do some structural work around the window, so it's going to cost at least $7,000 according to the estimates.

I'm also starting a small fund for a trip to DisneyWorld in a year or two. The kids have never been...dh and I went on our honeymoon.

Chows are AWESOME! I had one as a child and he was not only my constant companion but boy was he a guard dog. Been a crappy day, thanks for reminding me of a warm memory.

Well first aparently I will be saving for a new TV stand. But I am thinking about skipping that all together and getting a new TV that mounts on the wall.

September will bring a beach trip and I need to put new flooring down in my rental property.

P.S. A puppy would be so awesome! But I live in an apartment complex and have no intensions of picking up dog poo.

I don't have my sights on anything in particular. I plan to be pushing everything I can into retirement savings.

Disneyland. We skipped our yearly trip this month because we bought a house and we all missed going! So, I'll be saving for that....along with the usual Christmas fund and emergency fund.

I'm hoping to pay my last credit card off in March, and then.... California HERE WE COME!! My DDs have wanted to visit there for a couple years. They are both in college now and I just want to do this together while we can. We are planning to go in August, so starting in April my debt snowball will be halted while I put money away for the trip.
