BC is Back for 2010
Hey guys, how is every doing?
Sorry for the lack of update / posting from me the last couple of months but I’m back and will try and get on here everyday.
I need to get back into being frugal - challenges & goals and what-not.
November was a good month for me & FDH money wise we both worked extra days each week throughout the month and it paid off by giving us a nice saving pot for the wedding. We did however get ourselves a new loan to pay off the CC we only did this as our CC’s have had balances on since we bought our flat in February and just kept creeping up so I sat down and worked out how much we owed on them (mine was 800 FDH 900) so I got a loan to pay off these of 2000 over 4 years (which will be paid off early with extra payments!) making it a 65 payment per month. The minimums + extra that I was paying on the cards totalled to near that 65 so it seemed more convenient to us to pay off the cards and just have one same payment each month.
We are getting more planning done on the wedding, we are having the reception in a hotel in the next village from us FDH’s parents said that they will pay for the wedding breakfast and buffet + drinks and we are putting the rest in ourselves. We currently have 750.00 saved and I am selling on eBay to raise more cash. I need to save for a photographer and a car – I am going for a limo so I only need the one car to fit everyone in rather than 2 cars.Kelly & DH Alex ♥

My health took a bashing November/December I got a tooth infection come up and was put on antibiotics a couple weeks later I bashed a different tooth and that set of a new infection which put me in agony it was awful so off to the dentist for more antibiotics I went. I still had sore gums after the pain went and with a bit of gentle poking I found out that tooth I bashed is now loose and it feels like I have a new tooth coming down to replace that one – which would be a 3rd set tooth. Then to top it all off I woke up 2 days before Christmas with ultra sensitive front teeth that picked up the smallest touch. I had trouble eating and the dentist was closed over the holiday period thankfully by Christmas morning they were fine. I do not recommend tooth aches and pains to anyone it is the worst pain ever.
Christmas was good and it was white J it snowed at midnight Christmas eve (magic – just like in the movies) but not during the day itself, however the snow and ice we still had on the ground from the days before was still there and the hills were white too so this has been the whitest Christmas I have ever known in all my 23 (almost) years of being here.
I & FDH had a quiet night in with a couple of friends for New Years Eve having a wii night and watching the celebrations in London on the TV. It was also our anniversary too at midnight, 4 years we have been together now J
Anyways back to 2010, I need to get my goals sorted out and challenges for the weeks / months ahead. Also need to count and deposit my change and restart that again for the year.
I bought myself a sewing machine so I may join in more with the crafty challenges. Wish me luck on that one lol.Kelly & DH Alex ♥

Hey, Kelly! I was just thinking of you today when I was putting up our Christmas things, including the cute Christmas card I received from you. You have been busy! I can't wait to see pics from your upcoming wedding and I am sooo jealous that y'all had snow on Christmas Eve. Here in south/central Texas, we really only do see that in the movies. Welcome back!

Hi Michelle - it is rare for us to get any snowfall before christmas we normally get it Jan or Feb - Last year we had it in March.
I've always seen in movies when it turns midnight and it starts snowing and always wanted it to happen

from across the channel.
We too had a white Christmas.
I have to admit though it didn't fall on Christmas Eve but it had been snowing for a while before and it just stayed.
However it is also quite unusual for us to have a white Christmas, we also usually have snow at the beginning of the year.
I too am looking forward to seeing photos from your wedding.
As soon as you mentioned about having disposable cameras on the tables, I had to think of the episode of Friends after Monica and Chandler's wedding. They had done the same but (don't remember exactly what happened) the cameras were mislaid. Did you ever see this episode?*Avril*
