Question Christmas vacation over -- Are you ready to send the kids back to school?

With vacation over or nearly over, are you ready to send the children back to school?

I personally am not ready for vacation to be over. I don't want to send the children back to school yet.

    How about you?

After home schooling for so many years, I never want to send them back.

I hate it when Christmas vacation, spring break or summer break are over and they have to go back to school. I love having my teenage babies here with me.

Mine went back yesterday, and I wasn't ready, either. I never am-I like having my kids around. I never understand it when parents are glad summer vacation is over and can't wait to send their kids back, either. I enjoy mine so much!

I kept forgetting my DS was gone because DH took him in. I kept going to ask him something or to do something.lol. DD starts 1/11 and DH works at home. Next week. That will be eerie quiet.

I don't have any school aged children at home any more, mine are all grown...but, when they weren't I couldn't wait to send them back. Grandkids all went back to school yesterday, now them I could keep.

    Ditto on the homeschooling !!!

We didn't exactly take a full break, a few days off and only one subject a day the week of 'public vacation'

She's only been 'home' a month and I can't even imagine what I will go through if she ever goes back to a brick & mortar school...

I didn't get to see my two boys (men) this Christmas. They are in their early 20's and live far away. I always enjoyed having them home for holidays/summer, when they were young.

Hug your babies HARD before they go back to school!!

I always love Back to School after summer vacation. Not because I'm ready to send the children back but because of the excitement of a new school year.

It might be the teacher in me but I have always loved back to school time. New pencils, fresh lined paper, ultimate possibilities.

Wesley's pre-school starts next week and I am excited for him to start back for two reasons.

    1. He absolutely loves it.
    2. While he is at pre-school, Maggie and I meet a couple of other moms at the local Starbucks until pre-school is over. I love having some girl time!

I love my kids dearly, but yes, I'm ready for them to go back to school. Mostly because we have been cooped up inside for 20 days with deep snow and freezing cold temps. We are all going a little stir crazy and starting to get on each other's nerves. They were supposed to go back Monday but have been out because of weather. I will be surprised if they go back all this week.

I think even the most wonderful, perfect, loving mom needs a break every now and then!
