cookie press
I want to make some cookie press cookies. I have the recipe but have no clue where the press went. Can I jus bake the dough like any other cookie and drop by spoonfuls? These make really good sandwich cookies.TIA

Cookies made with a cookie press are also called "Spritz" cookies, from the German word spritzen, meaning "to squirt", which is what is done with the cookie press in order to form it into shapes.
You can also bake the cookies in dollops, but you may need to dip the bottom of a drinking glass in some sugar, then press the dollops, before baking. You can also use cookie stamps - http://www.rycraft.com/ to stamp an image on the cookies if you have a cookie stamp. I would make the cookies small.
