    Default Crafty Pam Rocks!!

    You are absolutely not going to believe this - even though I had the evidence right in my hands!! Crafty Pam found, purchased and sent me 3 - yep, count them, 3 toothbrushes all with holes in the ends of the handles!!

    Don't know where she found them - may have to wait until she returns from her vacation - that is - if she's willing to divulge her source!!

    Mahalo Plenty Crafty Pam!! My search that has gone on for several years is now done!! You are the best!!

    Yup I think so too!! Now I have to get DH to cut and shape them for use, find the directions and the rug I had started - perhaps I can add this to do this weekend for the retreat!!

    I wante dthem to have DH make me a needle to make rag rugs that my MIL taught me to do!! Same effect as crochet a rag rug - but different technique - fortunately I have a copy of the written directions - now just to find the safe place I put them!! I would like to finish the rug I started to use in the kitchen - pretty turquoise colors. I think that I posted a picture in one of my albums. DD took the crocheted one I did back to STL, the one with more peachy colors.

    Can you believe that - a Christmas tree shop - would never in my wildest dreams thought to look there!!

    If you are going to make your own tool from a toothbrush, please be careful if you heat the plastic to shape the point on it. Make sure your work area is vented well and or outside. Plastic fumes from ONE toothbrush, can either make you very sick or kill you. One of the things I learned from being a volunteer fire person for 14 yrs to 2 different fire departments.

    Easy solution to the tool problem...go do a search on ebay for toothbrush rug hooking. All kinds of stuff there you can buy for this craft. I did search this morning and was quite surprised what was available.
