    Default hey tigergirl

i use zillow. they send you regular updates on the price of your home

i think its every 3 mths, maybe more. cant remember.

not sure of how accurate they are though

yahoo has a site for realestate also that you can update stuff, etc on your home

MSN has one too i think

zillow has fluctuated soooo much in the past few yrs...we have ranged from 489K down on to 263k.

    i just find it interesting....

I was really wondering about the prices. Our neighbor sold his house in July and we were really concerned about the value of our house due to his sale. If what zillow said is true, then we didn't take nearly the hit we thought we would.

    Thanks for sharing your experience.

We just bought a house in Baton Rouge (I think that's where you are) and I can tell you that our housing market still looks pretty good compared to a lot of the country. I know that our house appraised for $4000 more than we bought it right off the bat. And Zillow seems to be an ok indicator of comparison pricing but it does have a disclaimer that its only an estimate.
