I splurged
I've been wisting a Pullip doll for over a year now... but at $75 (and that's on sale)... it was a bit much.
BUT, I saved my change, recieved visa gift cards for Christmas and combined that with a visa gift card I recieved as my 5 year recognition bonus at work... and I was able to buy TWO Pullip dolls... they were both marked down... one was $70 and the other $75.
I know there are other things I could have used that money on, but the dollies are what I was saving up for... they should be arriving today...
I never would have been able to indulge the little girl in me if I hadn't have learned HOW to save from tips here...

Good for you, Fluttermuffin! I, too, still like playing with dolls. I don't have the fancy ones, but I like posing my Barbies (some redone) and my one Petite Blythe ($20 eBay - I'd LOVE to have a regular $ized one!)), taking photos of them in various scenes and making little stories or vignettes out of them. I haven't done that much lately, but the last few food photos in my blog (link below) show my newest one (a Fashionista Barbie with all movable joints) 'spokesmodeling'. I had a slightly longer little 'story' with 4 of them in my October blog entries.
I have some 18" dolls too, including an American Girl Felicity ($15 second hand store), although the poor thing is a little worse for wear since #1 granddaughter played with her a good bit. Those sized dolls are featured even faaaaarther back in my blog. (search 'dolls') and I also collected 1940's - 60's rubber and vinyl dolls for awhile, but those are packed away for now.
I'd love to hear what you plan to do with your Pullip doll. I hope you'll post a photo when they arrive.
