Default Does anyone know how to remove liquid nail from walls

Years ago dh paneled the bathroom with paneling that looked like tile. It is mostly white with some accents in the tiles. However we are in the process of trying to get the house ready to put on the market...and i feel that it needs to have the paneling removed and put a fresh coat of paint on it...however there is liquid nail on the back of the panelling...is there a way to get it off without complete chaos or should i just figure out how to make the bathroom look nice with the paneling still on it.

    Thanks!

If you try to take the liqued nail gunk off,it will take the drywall with it and cause a bigger mess.

I used a heat tool, like is used for crafts. It gets very hot, so you need to be careful.

I wouldnt try to remove it from the walls...It will be a really big mess. Now if you have a dab of it on a panel that you want to remove you can use nail polish remover. But be careful and try it in a place that isn't able to be seen because it can melt the panel...

I've never removed large amounts but the little I did I scraped off and then it was hit and miss at best. The stuff that did not easily chip off had to be sanded off. LOT of work and a big mess.
