    Default Our Maggie

    Haven't updated on her in quite some time. I know that many of you have been reading our CaringBridge journal and praying for her and our family.

    Maggie is now four years old. She was dx with neuroblastoma in Feb 09. In July thru scans she was considered cancer free (after 6 massive rounds of chemo and surgery), but b/c this type of cancer is so insidious we had to keep proceeding with major treatments. She had 2 stem cell transplants and 12 Proton radiation treatments.

    We are now done with treatments and believe that Maggie has been healed of her cancer. The side effects of the chemo has left her with Kidney damage and needing hearing aids but God is good and we have our little girl happy and healthy.

    Rachel,
    I am one of the many that have been following Maggie and your family on Caringbridge. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers as your family gets back to just living life and putting this journey behind you and giving God all the Glory and praise for the work he has done in little Maggie's body.     I have been following Maggies progress on caringbridge as well. I am glad she is doing better and prayers will continue to be said.

    Such a brave little girl! I'm so happy you and your family can put this behind you now.

    And tou too Mommy, take time and take care of yourself too. The whole family suffers through these things, and should always be given a hug now and then for the fight they go thru with their loved ones. It can take everything a person has to keep it all together!
