ok I have to show off my frugal project!
I know that this should probably fall into the home decor area but I have to show it off, lol. I put before and after photos on my blog.

The cost for the project was pretty much paint. We had most everything else. So we have a new floor for under $40!Holly

That's freaking awesome! Did you seal it in from wear and tear? How long did it take to complete from start to finish?

thanks ya'll! Actually we did not seal the floor. We wanted it to age a little and with the kid traffic on it I think that will happen naturally! This area of the house usually doesnt get much more than a broom ran across it as it doesnt get too dirty! Oh and it took us abotu two days!

That looks fantastic! Very creative. Did you use a special kind of paint for that? You two did a great job! Thanks for sharing.
