    Default hi!

How did you hear about frugal village? i was searching the internet for a non-electric washer because the one in the house we just moved into doesn't work properly *grumble* also electric where we live is c-ra-zy.

What interests you here? everything! i'm so excited to jump in!

What will you contribute? haha from what i've checked out on here so far, you guys seem to have this frugal thing down pat.

Do you know any other members here? hope to soon!

How many kids? Ages? nicholas is 3 and noah is almost 11 months. (how did he get to be almost a year old already???)

Tell us about yourself. i'm a pennsylvanian in arizona. i'm a stay at home mom to 2 boys. we are in our first year of homeschooling. i like to sew. i make most of their clothes. i think you guys will appreciate this: my mother-in-law gave us money for christmas to buy the boys clothes. we drove 2 hours to the nearest city thinking "alright! after christmas sales!" nothing. there were no kid's clothes on sale. but! women's long sleeve t-shirts were on sale for $4 a piece. i bought 15 of them. i can get either 2 pair of pants or 1 outfit out of each shirt. $2 for a pair of pants or $15 for a pair of pants? that's a no brainer.

Do you own any pets? no pets. i'm a cat person and my husband is a dog person. and never the twain shall meet.

    Occupation? mom

Married or single? married to steven

Interests and hobbies? sewing. canning. cleaning (but not by choice). homeschooling. movies. cloth diapers. cooking from scratch. reading (the sookie stackhouse series right now). internet-ing. eating ice cream in the middle of the night even though i keep telling myself i'm not going to do that anymore. breastfeeding/birth junkie. doing things as cheaply as possible. trying to get my mother in law to stop buying my children crappy plastic toys.

Hi and welcome from Florida! Look forward to reading your posts!

Hi and welcome. I am a Pennsylvanian living in Iowa. Although I have been in Iowa longer than I lived in PA, I was born and raised there and still have family there so it will always be home!
