    Default Super awesome deal

The power company where we live has this really great deal going right now. If you get your insulation increased to r19 or better they will reimburse you up to 50 cents a square foot. I found a company that will blow insulation into our attic for that price so we are basically getting it done for free and if the irs continues the insulation rebate for this year then we will actually make money for getting our insulation done. Woo hoo!!

Now that's something you don't see everyday! If I were you, I'd jump at that chance! You probably will never see that opportunity again, so don't wait another day. They just might have a quota, and you could be outta luck if you wait too long.

    Lucky you!!

Wow, I'd call & get it done as soon as possible. One question though... can you still use your attic for storage? We're considering more insulation, but keep putting it off for a number of reasons (storage & cost are the main concerns).

Yep, we get the energy tax credit which amounts to an extra $165 on our tax return for 2010. We should also save 15 to 20 percent on our electric bill.

Our attic is unusable for storage so that is not an issue. We are getting it done on Thursday.

Got the insulation blown in today and I had to turn my heat almost all the way off and it is only 27 degrees high today. I am mailing my forms in the morning.
