My sister's crack at me
My sister made what she thought was a crack at me on FB. I actually took it as a compliment. She prides herself on having the latest and greatest, all the trips she takes etc... Really goes to show you how much point of view makes a difference.
Also who's laughing last? Me, because I'm now debt free and she very much isn't.
She said:
"Andrea could survive an entire winter with one raw yam, an encylopedia, a sewing machine, material scraps and a set of free weights. She is low maintenance and self entertaining, unlike me. Ha!"
We are debt free besides our house payment!!!

I would take it as a compliment too.......but would be very careful if I gave a response. But - boy.......could I think of some real 'snarky things' to say to THAT!!!
Don't you just have to bite your tongue when things like that happen???

I would take it as a compliment too. Are you sure she didn't mean it as such?
remind her of it, when her spending catches up with her.

Sounds like she's criticizing herself while she "thinks" she's insulting you. Will she be at your "DEBT FREE" DR. party. Me thinks not.lol

You'll definitely have the last laugh whether it was a compliment or not. Shows you have survivor skills.
" May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."

Interesting comment - what does she get out of being high maintenance and needing to advertise it? Absolutely a wonderful compliment to you!!

She sounds extremely jeuvenile...which she probably is. Even though she's trying to take a dig at you, I'd take it as a compliment because someday you'll be laughing that you're debt free (from all your hard work) and she's drowning in big bills and debt.
