Bedspreads. Do they exist anymore?
I am looking for a queen sized bedspread to replace our older one. Any websites or brick and mortar stores have them? At this point I am not too interested in colors, would like to keep the price under $50. We do not want a quilt! Thanks,

I've seen quite a few on QVC. Here is the link to one, http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/v...ille-Bedspread.
They have some that are about $50 and some that are much more, but they seem to have quite a selection.Working on Our Debt a Day at a Time:

I think the queen size are too small for a queen bed. I got tired of the wife pulling all my covers off so I make her buy only kings.
Even some of them are too small. With a thick mattress you can still see the sheets when the bed is made.Russ

I haven't seen a bedspread in ages. All I see now are comforters and duvets. I wouldn't trade my duvet for anything in the world. It's so warm and cuddly.

I got my bedspread at JC Penney. I bought a king size for our queen bed so it would go almost to the floor. We have a Tempurpedic mattress.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_th...ad_and_a_quilt
What is the difference between a duvet a comforter a bed-spread and a quilt?
Answer
A quilt is a thick embroidered blanket/comforter, usually in a checkered pattern with raised designs.
A comforter is a thick, quilted, fluffy blanket. Sometimes it’s decorated and colored, but with dye, not embroidered like a quilt. It is usually filled with a synthetic fiber filler. It does not need a cover and is made to be the bedspread. It is usually washed when it gets dirty.
A bedspread is a pre-filled bed cover with stuffing to be used as a decorative and warming bed covering. Normally used as the top cover on your bed. Bedspreads do not require a duvet, duvet cover, or a comforter.
A duvet is a comforter that is filled with down feathers. The duvet is usually white, beige or off-white. It should be placed in a duvet cover. It can be made of down or polyfill.
A duvet cover covers a duvet--like a slip on decorator. Most duvets are not decorated and usually people buy duvet covers. Imagine the duvet as a big flat pillow and the duvet cover as a big pillowcase. They keep the down clean and you can change the color of your bed on a moment’s whim.
As a duvet has a cover around it, it is usually not washed as it does not get dirty. The duvet cover is put in the laundry as a comforter would be. The fact the duvet is not washed means that natural materials (like down) can be used as insulation, which otherwise could be 'damaged' by laundering.

This made it clear as mud for me. LOL Though my "bedspread" growing up was not fiber filled. It was a one layer thick blanket that was decorative. The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Thank you so much everyone for your replies. I will be busy looking up all of these sites. I was beginning to think that bedspreads no longer existed. You all have helped me very much.
