Thats great!!Hubby went to to file ours with the accountant. He charges $65 dollars, But when you own your buisiness its better to hire someone. We claim every cent that we can.

Were still waiting on the W2 but hopefully we'll get it soon. It usually costs us about $100 to get ours done but running our own trucking business its much better to have a professional do it. Besides, we can deduct what he charges us.

We don't get our W2's until they hand them out with paychecks at the end of the month. But since there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 5000 people working here, or so I'm told, I can see why they don't want to mail them. I'll do taxes the night I get it. I use TaxAct too.

We still have not received two of our W-2's. (We had a lot of those this year--hubby had 3 for the Guard, the PD, and off-duty jobs, and I had two since I switched jobs.) I haven't received 1099's from our mortgage, student loans, or one of our banks yet. Sigh. I'm ready to get a move on!

We just got our W-2's last week, and I have got the preliminary paperwork done, but I can't file yet because we need some finalized forms for TurboTax Business before we can finalize the K-1 forms we have to issue to ourselves.
I love the IRS. We (as an LLC) have to file with the IRS, then we (as an LLC) have to give ourselves (as individuals) a form to tell us (as individuals) what we (as an LLC) made or lost last year. Then we (as individuals) can file our (as individuals) our taxes now that we (as individuals) know what we (as an LLC) earned.
The good news is the LLC did much better in 09 than 08 - and in '10 we should actually make a profit. The bad news is that means this is the last year we're likely to end up getting a refund. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

DH finished and filed ours a few days ago. He's a CPA and does ours plus everyone in our family for free.

He adjusts our numbers throughout the year so that we don't get a big refund and so that we don't owe either.DD (19)
