I bet I'm going to lose my unemployment......
I got an audit form from unemployment today. That part isn't a big deal, they do it throughout the year and if they draw your name, you get one. But on the form it asks if you have been called back to work. I spoke to my boss on the 16th and he told me to come up anytime and fill out my paperwork for the year, which means that I'm going back(which I've known all along anyway). It asked me when I found out and when I would be going back. I believe in being honest so I filled it out truthfully.
I wonder if they will let me continue to draw my unemployment from now until April? I'm not officially employed until April 1. Or will they say that I have a job and stop it? I have been looking for employment all winter, planning to take something full time if it was offered and then deciding in March if I wanted to stay where I was or quit and go back to the park.S

My dh ran into a similar problem when he was was on unemployment earlier this year. He accepted a job offer but he didn't start work until 2 weeks later. Initially the unemployment office turned down those two weeks of benefits because when he filled out the paperwork, he hadn't sought work by contacting at least 2 different potential employers each of those weeks. He appealed, explaining that if he continued to seek employment by contacting other companies for work, he'd be putting his job offer in jeopardy. They sent the appeal to a supervisor, who looked at it and reversed the decision. There was a week or two delay in getting his checks for those 2 weeks, but in the end they did pay.
I hope it works out for you!

I hope they don't take the unemployment benefits away from you because technically you are still unemployed until April 1st. Also, I agree with what the pp said about putting that job in jeopardy by continuing to apply for jobs.

But you ARE still unemp. - try to explain that to them.
Worked UI years ago, but things have changed.
If you are denied - appeal it - can't hurt. They are required to do X number of audits each quarter/month.
