It popped up on my computer yesterday, but my Avast antivirus took care of it. Avast is one of the free antivirus programs.

Yup! I got hit big-time. I am not sure if it was an email, a link someone posted on my blog, or a forum, but it got me. It took me 2 days and three antivirus/malware/registry cleaner programs to clean it up. But it's working now

Pam,
If you use avg, and you can get it runnung, my avg ran a "boot scan" and got the computer to where I could run traditional scans.

I also have AVG but it didn't help with this one. I was able to boot up in Safe Mode with Networking. I then went online and went to geekpolice. com searched Antivirus Live and ran the download for Malware. Took care of it. Took a LONGGGGGG time to run through it all but it was worth it!!

I got this yesterday! I had to clean out my entire computer, system restore didn't even work...I lost everything, pictures, music, document, everything! My antivirus didn't catch it either, and I ran it twice after I was infected! It was awful!

OUCH! That sounds like a nasty virus.
If anyones interested, probably one of the best antivirus software thats also FREE is AVAST. I've been using it for years.
Things like Norton really slow your computer down, and arent' actually all that good.

Yep, I love Avast. I use Adaware for spyware. Both have free versions. I can afford free.
