Last food on earth
Who knows what the last food to survive and be edible on earth will be? I was watching "Life After People" and it was about what happens to earths food supplies. I guessed it but it is still interesting.
I'll come back and see who has the answer.Truck paid off 12/07(paid in full)

Is that the one on the history channel? I watched it a few months ago. But missed what food is left.

I assume they're not talking about food plants that grow and reproduce naturally?
Canned food and dry pantry goods should last a couple years.
Whole grains kept dry and properly stored can last indefinitely. Honey and salt should last a good while, too, though the honey may solidify.Use it up, Wear it out,

Twinkies!!
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Yes, it's honey. Archeologist found honey sealed in glass jars in the Egyptian pyramids dating 4000 yrs old. It was edible but some was crystalized. Twinkies came in second !

I love that show!
Maybe we'll all be eating crocodile! -)
They're one of the creatures that have lasted the longest, along with turtles and tortoises. But they're kind of cute, and I can't see me catching a crocodile for dinner.
If you're a vegetarian then maybe something like mushrooms - a fungus that grows very easily. ymmmm.

Hmm. If it comes from a factory, can you even call it food? After the last human dies, his or her garden will continue to grow and reproduce, so clearly the last edible food will be produce.
Then it came to me: the last food will be kale. It is impossible to kill the stuff. Every year, we have volunteer kale coming up and we haven't planted any for five years.

Interesting...could deal with the honey and twinkies but guess that wouldn't be an option if we're gone.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
