    Default chicken soup question

    when cooking chicken noodle and chicken and rice when do you add the noddles or rice? and how

    usually my noodles expand to much and get gooey and my rice soaks everything up and gets nasty

    i feel like crap tonight and what to make a easy chicken noodle or rice soup

    i got frozen chicken thighs i can defrost
    celery
    carrats
    potatoes
    mixed frozen veggies
    onion
    rotini or the bow tie pasta
    minute rice
    chicken boulions

    I don't use minute rice in soups...it tends to fall apart and turn to paste. I let everything cook down and then add noodles at the end till eldente'.

    You could also make them separately - then put your cooked pasta or rice in the soup bowl and pour the soup over.

    umm..im thinking some biquick dumplins would be really good too...what to do!

    i have the chicken thighs broiling with carrots, celery, potatoes, onion, salt and pepper, thyme, basil....should i just do some could ole dumplins???

    for any soup, make pasta or rice seperately ..put in bowl and ladle soup over it. that way,no sticky gooey mess....

    i am also feeling pretty crappy today (yesterday too) so, today, i sauteed onions, green onions, celery stalks and leaves, LOTS of garlic and a bay leaf. added 1 can reduced sodium chix broth and water..let it simmer for about an hour. added more garlic! added the rest of the CP rotissierre chix, added spinach and white beans. turned out yummy yummy. and, i sweated alot, so maybe the red pepper i put on top helped! made feel much much better! hope your soup does the same.
