My son was hit by a car
He is OK. But with a very bruised backside ,knee and skinned elbow.
I am freaking out. He was running during training and glanced and said he didn't see any cars and began to cross the road and was hit. He said he didn't hit any part of his head and was on his feet immediately assuring the frantic woman he was OK. In the hit he busted off her mirror and also dented her fender.
I am so thankful he is only sore but otherwise OK. But now I don't want him near a road, he doesn't see well. He is blind in one eye and has only partial vision in the other... I feel sick.

What a scary thing for a mom to deal with!
I wonder if it would help if he always ran right next to someone else, so they could help him with traffic.______

O no!!!! I am sooo glad he is ok...this is why I hate it when my DD goes running everyday to stay in shape for Cheerleading...She runs with her I-pod on to boot......

I'm glad he is ok! That is really scary. I hope your nerves settle down too - I just go all to pieces when my kids get hurt.

I'm so sorry this happened. It must have been so scary for all involved. Hoping his bruises heal quickly. Try not to worry about him too much, he'll probably be extra cautious.
