Help for Tinnitus?
I'm not sure WHAT is working, but my DH is having much less Tinnitus. (ringing/swooshing sounds in the ears)
Recently (a couple of weeks now) I've been giving him a multiple vitamin/mineral supplement, plus Omega 3's (fish oil), and glucosamine-chondroitin(for achy joints).
As of yesterday, he had begun to notice that his Tinnitus (which drives him nuts) was almost completely gone! I looked up (online)some of the things they say can help, and overall----most sources cited Vitamin B complex, Zinc, and Magnesium. All of which are in the multi-vitamin that he takes.
DISCLAIMER: Now----I strongly suggest NO ONE take TONS of something!!!!---only what is the normal daily requirement on the bottle. Just as my DH is doing--he is only taking one tablet a day.
But quite possibly, if anyone out there is suffering from Tinnitus, taking a multivitamin that includes Vit B complex, Zinc, and Magnesium in the JUST the percentages on the bottle-----MAY have relief.
Worth a try.

Wow, Dh and DS have been complaining of that lately, We are going to give it a try, what can it hurt? Even if it doesn't work, the supplement will do them some good.
Thank you so much for posting!Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

Yes, there can be other things that cause it---something being wrong with the tiny bones in the ear, something wrong with the capillaries in the ear, high BP, atheroscerosis, etc.
So if it doesn't work to take these supplements, it would behoove someone to have it checked out.______

Large doses of aspirin can cause tinnitus, as well as damage to the inner ear from exposure to loud noises, such as rock concerts. My dh has had continuous ringing in his ears for years ... that would drive me nuts!

DH has intermittent tinnitus. It just so happens he's got an appointment at a hearing institute tomorrow for it.
He's been teaching himself how to play the guitar and bought a tuning fork - he figured out if he taps the tuning fork and puts the ball end of it on his ear (right in front of his ear, in front of the flap that points in towards the opening) it makes it stop. At least for awhile. I think it matches the tone and cancels it out.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
