Talking There is nothing like the sound......

of your husband's voice on the phone at 6:20am telling you he's made it safely to his destination on a cold, nasty winter day!

My dh works an hour away. His parents live about 15 minutes from his workplace. When the weather is bad and he's scheduled to work he stays with them so he isn't on the bad roads for so long. Since we knew this huge storm was coming he went down there to stay on Thursday night. He was off Thursday and didn't have to be at work until 6pm last night but he wanted to be down there before the storm hit.

I am a worry wart so I make him call me all the time LOL. I made him call me when he got to work last night and then again when he got to his parent's this morning. He said the roads are horrible! We had about six inches of snow topped with hours of sleet and wind, followed by about 6 more inches of snow.

It was so comforting to hear his voice this morning and know he's ok! Of course I then had to crawl out of bed, get dressed and go outside in the snow to fill the outdoor stove with wood and water LOL!

I hope all of you are safe and warm this morning too!

    I'm glad he is safe.

I made Greebo call me when ever he landed after a flying lesson or practice. With him being at a computer we have frequent communciation throughout the day but waiting for that initial. "I'm in" is emotionally fatiguing sometimes.

I'm glad your hubby got home safe and sound. I know the feeling of worrying about the safety of my hubby on busy and bad-weathered roads.

So glad your dh made it back and forth safely. I am a worry wart as well and make my dh call me if there is bad weather. He works in a very very bad neighborhood in Detroit and the idea of him getting stuck out there is scary in good weather but bad weather is even worse.

Glad he made it safely, too! I do the same thing. My dh is on a flight right now to CA to visit his family and I won't be able to rest until I hear from him that he has landed safely.
