Thanks for sharing your shopping experience. Sounds like you like it and it's prices.
Our Aldi's prices vary a bit
This weekend
Fresh pineapple was 3.49
Oranges bag 99 cents
Clancey chips 99 cents
Carrots 99 cents
Also at Aldi's when things need to get out of the store they price them lower. We have bought recently a dozen eggs for 79 cents and bag of fresh leaf spinach or bag salad for 49 cents

thanks for the run down of prices!
We have an aldis in a neighboring town and I check it often, because the produce sees to be priced well, but it changes often. I was in there last week and they had large heads of cauliflower for .59 and 1# bags of baby carrots for .39. This was just a "special price" because they are usually not that price, but they alwasy seem to have different produce at "great" prices (like the apples and oranges).
Thanks again for posting all the prices!

I love Aldi's. They do have great prices. The only things I don't like from there is their coffee and pork-n-beans. The corn taste like fresh from the cob to me.

I don't go to Aldi's. We went there once and were not impressed. The only thing I remember being cheap was milk. The produce was more expensive than our local farmers market. I think the prices in other states are way lower than what I saw here in NJ.

Our's have been having produce specials each week this winter.
About a week ago ...I got 2 bags of the mini carrots for .49 per bag.
We like them in the steamer.
This week they have fresh fruit on special.
pears .99 per 4 pk
apples 1.49 per 3 lb bag
cantalope is .99 each
navel oranges $ 1.39 per 4 lb bag
strawberries $ 1.99 per pound
I am thinking about getting a cantalope and the oranges.--------My signature--------

DH recently discovered Aldis on his trip to STL. When he got home, he said that he wished he'd had more time to check it out - but then even Schnucks is cheap compared to our prices!!

I shop at Aldi's for almost everything and haven't had a bad experience yet. There are a few things that they don't carry, so I do have to stop at a much more expensive grocery from time to time.

Years ago I would take friends to Aldi's, especially when they only had about 10-15 dollars for food that week or next two weeks. They would come out all happy with all the food they bought. Aldi's definately has saved me lots of money.
Just wish there was an Aldi's or Save-a-lot within walking distance now!

I love my Aldi's
this week they have cauliflower for 1.19 a head! That is a great deal I have bought some already and am going back for more.
Also the broccoli is on sale for the same price. Getting more of that too.
I am going to blanch some of and freeze it. And some really tastey roasted cauliflower soup...
I guess people should stay far away from my family this week with all the veggies we will be eating.Married 22 years to Mark

I try and shop in other stores, but still end up doing the bulk of what we need in Aldi's.
Today I got the cantalope at .99, some salad mix at .79 a bag, oranges $ 1.39 a 4 # bag, milk $ 2.05 a gallon, 1 bread at .79, 1 at 1.39 , a big bunch of bananas for .98. The loin pork was $ 1.99 pound, and I got a big package that totaled $ 9.85 ....I will slice it into pork chops and either one or two roasts for the oven.
I went into the Price Chopper store, and spent $ 9 on 4 items. I did get my hubby his Lays potato chips because they were buy 1 get 1. As I was giving her my money, I told her I thought the total was wrong. I got charged $ 5 for the chips, and they were supposed to be $ 3.99 . She told me I had to go to the customer service desk....okay.........so the gal does a price check for me...she physically had to go to the floor display at the other end of the store, to find it....yup, I was right......she gives me $ 3 back for the mistake. Not sure why but I think it has something to do with if a price does not ring right on the register. So instead of $ 9, it ended up being $ 6 total. I was trying to use some double coupons in the store. Maybe I been frugal too long, but I have such a hard time with some prices. One piece of meat...Hormel...was $ 8 something...on sale for 4.99...I had a $ 1 coupon doubled....so ended up paying 2.99 for a 17 ounce package of meat...it is already cooked...so I thought 2.99 a pound was fair...now I am thinking maybe. I was just looking for a little variety for us. Seems like it has been such a long winter already.--------My signature--------

Thanks for the heads up, Val! I have been really craving fresh pineapple, but the cut up pineapple is expensive . I will pop in and take a peek to see what they run here. The almonds seem to be reasonable too!

Funny just about everyone is talking about the produce at Aldi's. Produce is one thing I just don't buy at Aldi's. I'm in CT and the 2 or 3 Aldi's I've been in the produce just looks like its been hanging out in the back of a truck for a while.
In my opionin canned goods are the best buy. I usually stock up on the beans and tomatoes. Chips are cheap too!Judy

Produce seems to be hit or miss at my local Aldi's. They've had wonderful Tropicana oranges on sale that I've gone back several times for but their golden delicious apples look like they were picked off the ground after a few days.
I am finding more products I like for the cost and don't mind giving up some of my name brands to do so.The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.
