Hi from Kentucky!
Hello Forumites!
Just recently moved to kentucky from Florida, and we are well on our way to becoming "Green Guru's"
The best part about it is that it's fun, and luckily my partner is just as into it as I am!
So, I've already learned quite a bit, and am looking forward to learning a lot more, here on the Frugal Village.
Great site and forum!

Hi and welcome from where you just left...Florida. I love Kentucky. We considered Cadiz about 3 years ago very seriously.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Thanks for all of the welcomes! Wow! I can tell this is going to be a fun ride!

I have to admit, after reading through these forums for the past couple of days: you guys are really intimidating! I mean, you really know your stuff! I thought I knew quite a bit about "going green" and saving money... Boy, was I wrong! lolLast edited by EarthIncentives; 02-13-2010 at 04:03 AM.

I meant to add some projects we're working on, so you all can get to know me a little better:
At the end of last summer, we were able to purchase a greenhouse, and we plan to make some SERIOUS use of it, as well as a quarter-acre garden. So I believe that getting our veggies will no longer be a problem; and even better than that, they will no longer be from a tin can!
We are HOPING to develop some sort of solar water heater for a hot-tub inside the greenhouse (won't that be fun!?) I've looked at several do-it-yourself designs on the web, but haven't found exactly what we want just yet. Suggestions welcomed.
I absolutely cannot BELIEVE the amount of garbage that we have managed to cut back on by recycling and composting. I would say that the garbage man picks up about 1/8th of the trash that used to go into that can.
We filled the house with energy-efficient bulbs, and only one bulb in overhead lights instead of three.
I've even started unplugging everything, including the microwave, when not in use. Our game room (not nearly as cool as it sounds) gets cut off by the main breaker when not in use!
SOOooo.. We're definitely trying, and we're here to learn how to try harder!
And again, thanks for the awesome welcomes!
