Anybody else having Verizon Internet problems?
We started having intermittent internet service about 4-6 wks ago. Until this time, we'd had no problems with our DSL other than installation. The Verizon tech came out a couple of weeks ago and supposedly fixed the problem. It wasn't really fixed. I spent 39 minutes on the phone with a rep on Tuesday who set up an appointment for today. I explained that it was an INTERMITTENT problem. Guess what? Nobody showed up. When I called Verizon to check on the tech, I was told that Verizon's main office had done a line check and my internet was working. Duh! It's an intermittent problem. I told her the internet usually works fine until the evening then it goes down without warning. The rep said she'd make a note of it and for me to call when it happens again. GGGrrrrr! I'm wasting a lot of time with Verizon's terrible customer service. My 1 yr contract ends March 27 and I'm thinking about cancelling. My other option is Comcast.

The forum on the Verizon website has people complaining about the same exact problem I'm having. They're not getting answers either.

My phone service is also through verizon...is yours ?
The problem I have been having has been like the last few weeks. The pop up window asks if I want to repair the problem or ignore it. I choose IGNORE. I don't want any more of their stuff on this computer.--------My signature--------

When they first came to install the fios the tech left saying that everything was fine and that it was something wrong with my computer. Mind you I had just bought the computer so really nothing could be wrong with it.
Come to find out that it was intermittent as far as getting on the web. Turns out a part had to be replaced on verizon's side. So next time it goes out, call verizon and have them try to diagnose it then. They will then see you can't get on the internet and have to send someone out.

Called Verizon when internet was down again yesterday and actually got a helpful person. Someone should be out Tuesday to check the line. Hopefully this person will show up AND be able to fix the problem!

Im so ticked with verizon.. I have been trying to get internet installed on my laptop. I had mediacom installed with no problems at all.But switched because it was a better deal. Nope i would have rather payed a extra $20 bucks a month then to deal with all the fustration of verizon. Its saying its all installed on my laptop, but web can't be found!

DH downloaded a verizon tool to fix the problems. I had problems then too.
Search for Verizon in home agent.
