I am here, just really don't feel like posting much, but I am being a lurker. Nothing against anyone, just feeling crappy. DH tried to cheer me up by taking me out to dinner tonight and got me a rose and teddy bear for Vday. He also took me to get my haircut which was very needed....but I still feel crappy. I talked to my store manager yesterday and she said I will definitally have a job position and she is thinking it will be within a 30 minute drive from me so that is okay. We will see how it all works out I guess. I understand things can be worse, everyone is posting about things that have happened with them, and I am so sorry for your losses and such. It is hard. But things have been hard for me here to. Hubby is not out of work its just if there is a snow day and the plant closes he can get unemployment.

that was sweet of dh to do that all for you.

look at the positive..you have a good husband who is worried about your feelings. he doesnt want you to feel down. take that and fly w/ it....its a good thing!

you seem like you have the wear w/ all but are havin a tough time which is understandable. but alot of people dont even have a good relationship to get through the tough times....sending good luck you way! chin up girlie...you will make it somehow someway...you have it in you to do! take care.

I'm so sorry to hear this is happening to you! Perhaps, in the long run, it may be for the best- you will possibly end up somewhere else where you can pursue your dream- you sound very passionate about it and I cannot imagine you will not find a way to overcome both the financial, and the career, shortfalls this will cause you temporarily. Hang in there...and lurk all you like! -hugs-

Have you considered alternative transport to get to your job? So that you will no longer be dependent on dh? A bicycle may not be an option, but maybe a Vespa is? Or a more advanced model like Yamaha DT-MX? Under Dutch law, this is not a motorcycle and can be driven with a limited driver's license. It's cheaper than a car, and more economic with regards to gas. You will need proper clothing, but that you can buy second hand.

But I can get to work.

Me driving is not an issue right now. It will be if its a 45 minute drive not because I don't drive and DH can't take me but because we don't want to commute that far.

I will be getting my drivers liscense soon, when I am settled into my apartment and figured everything out with my job, but again its not part of the problem.

Thanks so much though for your wonderful advise! I appreciate it!

On the bright side, at least you have a $1000 emergency fund.
