    Default Saved myself 10.00 today....

We went out to Walmart today and I checked on scanners for the computer. Dh got me a digital picture frame for Christmas and I wanted to be able to scan old pictures into the computer and put them on my frame. I also wanted to share some old pics with my sister.

I guess they don't make just scanners anymore. All Wally World had were printer, scanner, copier combos. They had one that was 89.00and one that was 59.00. Dh said get it, it can be your Valentine's present. So I went around to the next aisle to look around and think it over. There was one in a clearance pile for 49.00! Same brand, just smaller. It's perfect for what I want/need it for! Whoo hoo!

I've been having a ball digging out old pictures and scanning them this evening. I have a huge rubbermaid tub to go through!

Sounds like you're having gret fun.

I'm probably proving myself a right old fogey, but I long for the days when gadgets were simpler. When phones were just phones, when scanners were just scanners. Well, with exceptions -- I love my toaster that's also a convection oven. So I guess I'm an old fogey who picks and chooses her complexity.

    Congrats on your find.

I wanted just a scanner too. I had a printer already. But they didn't have any that were just scanners so I had to get what I could find. I do have a back up printer now if I ever need one. Or maybe when dd gets her laptop for graduation she can use the old printer with it.

That's great! I did that a few years back with all our old family photos... I'd like to get a digital frame someday to load them all into! You're just gonna have such a ball!!!

That's a great way to make "feel good" final decision. Walk away from it for a little while, and then go back. It's the way I try to do it and I'm usually happier for it. Sounds like you made out great

    Enjoy you photos!
