    Default Icebreaker - Hi

How did you hear about frugal village?
    Googling "Dave Ramsey Forums"
    What interests you here?
I'm here to pick up advice on how to do everything cheaper!
    What will you contribute?
Hopefully by sharing my questions and experiences, I may be able to help others stay motivated and focused on their financial goals.
Do you know any other members here?
    Not yet
    How many kids? Ages?
    Someday...maybe...we'll see
    Tell us about yourself.
I'm 26 years old, I work full-time in the IT industry, and I'm a student at St. Louis University School of Law. I have a wonderful girlfriend of 8 years that I am planning on proposing to as soon as my last credit card is paid off (2 more months?).
    Do you own any pets?
    Nope
    Occupation?
    IT/Student
    Married or single?
    Single
    Interests and hobbies?
I go to the gym a lot so I can offset my endless hours sitting in front of a computer screen. I read anything I can get my hands on and love playing guitar and harmonica.

We keep updated on your weather because our DD is a grad student at WashU (and did her undergrad there) - her first choice of schools - regardless of the weather!!

An excellent school, for sure. Unfortunately they didn't have a night program for Law School and I wasn't willing to quit my job to go full time.

    hi

    welcome!

I'm the curmudgeon from your wedding post! (grin)
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Hi and welcome from Florida. Looking forward to reading your posts!
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
