Best free Valentine's Gift
I posted this in the what did you get free thread but thought I'd put it here too.
Some of you may have read my thread earlier this week about my husband setting up the free movie date in our car. Well he's getting huge points with me this week because he's gone and done it again.
Best free Valentine's Gift (I'm pretty sure I can come up with something free to reward him
)
He works in lots of Drs. offices and yesterday he walked into one to discover a nurse about to pitch a beautiful Valetine's flower arrangement. He asked her why she was throwing it away and she said they were from her *&^%$ soon to be ex husband. He promptly asked her if she was going to pitch them if he could just take them with him. She handed them over and he brought them to me. He knows my rule on flowers is that if you can't replant them or they aren't free I don't want them. They seem like such a waste of money, though they are beautiful. So now I can enjoy the arrangement he gave me and not gaze upon them thinking what I could have done with the $50 he spent on them
Have to say though, poor guy who blew his money on them.

How nice! Poor guy who originally sent the flowers though.

How sweet! (LOL, now I'm wondering if we are the only group on the internet who would think getting free flowers is a good thing.
) I remember my first boyfriend when I was in high school. He worked as a janitor in a church and would often bring me the leftover flowers from weddings and funerals. Ah, be still my frugal heart! I still remember those flowers fondly

I'm pretty sure we are in the minority. I didn't say anything about the flowers on my Facebook, though I was thrilled, because I was fairly sure our friends would rib him about it.
Some of my favorite flowers he's ever given me are wildflowers he picked himself.
