I loved that smell and used it for my kids clothes.

I use baby lotion on myself all the time. I like it better than any other lotion and have used many.

I love the smell of it too.

I do buy it and use it on all laundry. It is the only laundry detergent I have found that doesn't break anyone out in a rash.

I only have to buy it a few times a year though.

i have a large bottle that i use for handwashing all bras...makes them last longer as i do buy pricey bras! using dreft to handwash them helps them not lose any elasticity and keep their shape the correct way. the bottle will probably last me at least the next 8 yrs!

Nope. JUst can't say I do. I hate the smell of baby products in general though esp. diapers. When I triied to use it on my DH's clothes before they had all the free and clear detergents the odors cmae back.
My new favorite smell are the Organix shampoos. Expensive but yum.

I know what you mean, except my thing is Gain. I use Gain laundry detergent, Gain fabric softener and Gain dryer sheets with every wash. It smells so good!!!

I put Baby Magic on myself all of the time. It smells so good. Nothing smells better than Baby Magic!!!

FYI - Dreft isn't a "soap", it's a detergent, and yes, there is a difference between soap and detergent. Detergents were developed to work better in hard water.

    A bit of history...

"Researchers (at Procter and Gamble) discovered two-part molecules which they called synthetic surfactants. Each part of the "miracle molecules" executed a specific function--one pulled grease and dirt from the clothes, while the other suspended dirt until it could be rinsed away. In 1933, this discovery was introduced in a detergent called "Dreft," but it could only handle lightly soiled jobs. The next goal was to create a detergent that could clean heavily soiled clothes. That detergent was Tide®."

Because Dreft only handled lightly-soiled clothing, it was eventually sold for "delicates" and babies things. I'm sure the formula and fragrance has been altered many times since 1933. Tide was "improved" 22 times in the first 21 years. Especially after these companies incorporated chemicals developed for the war effort during WWII.

Fragrances in laundry products are potentially dangerous, especially for people with breathing challenges. These toxins don't have to be listed on the labels of these products. My sister-in-laws physician said there are even MORE chemicals in the brands that are fragrance-free in order to mask the chemical odors.

true. dreft is not a good choice for everyday laundry and dirty stuff. although mild, not a great choice for everything.

it has helped w/ the bras though!

Grainlady, Wow! Didn't know that about fragrances. If only there were really good smelling natural products that kicked the odor out of dirty clothing and gave them a long lasting fresh scent. I think someone needs to start working on that.
