I think new puppies smell fantastic, so if you think she smells bad, either we have different opinions re: puppy smell, or there is something going on. Five weeks old IS really young to be separated from her mother, so a vet visit is definitely a good idea. Otherwise, she looks fat and healthy. Congrats on your new (BIG) dog!

Awwwww!!! She's GORGEOUS...and she's going to be HUGE!!
Id definitly get her STRAIGHT to the vet! 3 weeks is a terribly young age, and since it's such a big breed, she'll need to have proper special case nutrition so she doesn't have growth problems. Be careful with her food too...it's not something you want to go cheaper on right now.

Oh, and btw...mastiffs sometimes get stinky in their wrinkles..do baby shampoo and a facecloth can help. Also watch her ears...flop over ears are more likely to get infected.

LOL...and since no one else has brought it up...Im also going to throw it out there...puppies can have TERRIBLE toots!! I know my jack russell puppy does! WOW! I don't know how a smell like that can come from something so small and cute..but it is DEADLY!

Enjoy your puppy...it doesn't last very long!!!!!!

AWWWW! Now I want a new puppy! She is really beautiful.

Our first puppy we found was pushed from mom really young too. She was around 4 weeks or so. Vet said, good luck, she may not make it. She lived a full life running after the kids and grew to be over 70lbs!

Keep us posted and pictures are always welcomed

What a cutie! I'd take her to the vet definitely. If you don't want to put her into a bath yet, there are doggie wipes that you can buy to wipe off some of the stink. I have some for my dog for in-between-bath times if he gets a funk of some sort. I have a very sensitive nose too!

THANKS for posting the pics.........toooo cute!

And, once again, what an adorable pup? But is there one that isn't?

Look at those feet!!! You have a big kid coming up!!!

It might be the angle on the pic --and if the pup had just eaten or not - but a bloated belly can mean worms in puppies.......they are born with them, so if the puppy hadn't been wormed you will need to do that.
