Default Could you please help me with ideas?

    Good Morning Frugal Village,

I was hoping you could please help me to come up with ideas for an Expository Essay(it explains how to do something, or how something works). The thing is I don't have any real hobbies other than reading, baking, and working out which really isn't creative in my eyes. Any ideas would be helpful, or opinions. I am having difficulties with this assignment, which is really unusual for me.

    Thank you,

    JJ

Why couldn't you do something with your baking? If you bake breads that would be a good topic. Remember, it's not just mix this with that. What kind of flour is best and why. What are the choices for yeast and which is preferable? How long do you knead it and what happens if it is over or under kneaded.

You could also do this with cakes. How about chiffon cakes? A lot of eggs sacrificed themselves when about 100 years ago I was determined to master it, until my mother said: "No more chiffon cakes!" That really rained on my parade. You could talk about, again, types of flour, leavening, salted/unsalted butter, allowable substitutions. Just pick a recipe. How to decorate it after its baked.

Or a frugal topic. How someone in college (this sounds like a college assignment) could painlessly save $100, or $500.

Just think about all the things you know how to do. I promise there are a lot more than you think.

I agree with the previous poster. You could always look on You-Tube for ideas, too!

    Good luck!

I know we here on frugal village think of baking as just something you do, however I have found that in the "real life" world (not the frugal mindedness of us villagers) baking is seen as a hobby. There are people I know who do not know how to bake cupcakes - especially without a box. Definitely do something with the baking, in my opinion. What do you bake? Everything? You could even do a progression on what is easy to bake vs more difficult and why.
