great meat deals at Target

So as some of yall know, I am a vegetarian.

However, my sig-other is most definitely not. Luckily for me, he is not picky so I can wait for good sales to buy meat. We also have a Sam's card (his dad paid for it as a gift to us) so we bought frozen chicken breasts and some good steaks there.

Today I went to Target to get evaporated milk and some lunchmeat for the boy (he's sick, so he gets whatever he wants to eat )

Went to check out the daily markdowns on meat like I always do and got:
2 1lb packages of lean ground beef - on sale for 2.39 with a $1 off coupon on them
1 package of 4 premade burger patties w/ lean ground beef - on sale for 2.99 with a $1.50 off coupon on it
1 package of bacon - on sale for 1.99 with a .50 off coupon on it
Total cost - $5.76
Total savings - $8.40

Just had to tell someone who'd appreciate it!

You did good! I never seem to be in the store early enough to get the markdowns but I love it when Target has meat coupons on their website. They sell individual pkgs that I use them on. Makes for some cheap meat!

Good deals! I need to check Target's meat case more often. A friend of mine buys her ground turkey at Target, she swears the price is the lowest.

I wish Target was closer to me. Wal-mart is a lot closer than Target. I tend to shop at Wal-mart because it is closer so I save on gas.

I only shop at Target when I shop in my "loop".

Wow --I haven't been in my Target in ages..........didn't even know they had MEAT!! Milk - yes, but meat, no!
