    Default Murphy & Bleeding Money

    Okay I GUESS I really can't complain because Murphy hasn't visited in a while. BUT he can go away now!

    Had to put a new battery in the truck (had a bad cell) - only cost $8 on the trade in.
    Been saving to get the a transmission for the truck. I got it back yesterday - new transmission (3 yr 100,000 mile warranty), U joints, oil change, and some front end work cost a little over $2300.00.
    Inspection sticker expired in December so went to get that today - $39.50.
    The guy was getting ready to slap the new sticker on when another guy came around from the side of the building (where my truck had been parked) and said I was leaking radiator fluid.
    Took it back to the shop and am waiting to hear WHAT is wrong now. It is probably the water pump from where it is leaking.
    Tomorrow I go to the dentist and heaven knows what will come out of that.
    Time to go to the GP and she will be mad because I didn't get my well woman exam, mammogram, colonoscopy, or go to the endocrinologist yet because I haven't had the money OR the transportation.
    I PLAN on taking care of all the above when the truck is up and running because I have the money now.
    The good news is that I feel fine and I have the money to pay for it all, but it is killing me to have to dish it out.
    I also plan to get a part-time job soon to take care of some other expenses coming up.

    Goal #1 - lose 30 lbs, lower blood sugar, blood pressure, & cholesterol - DONE
    Goal #2 - lose 5 more pounds to put me in the normal range on the BMI - DONE - 5/13/11

    05/16/11 - Down 36 lbs (total) since 12/08/10, under calorie goal almost every day, on treadmill 40 minutes 5 days a week MINIMUM.

    I hate this for you. Maybe the dentist will find nothing and the doctor will work a deal for you.

    THANKS A LOT! LOL!!!

    It is going to cost between $400 and $500 to fix the truck. I just transferred another $1000 from savings to checking. That should cover the truck, GP visit, endocrinologist visit, OB/GYN visit, mammogram and 6 month liability insurance on two trucks!

    Well he must be busy because he has been here too. In fact I keep waiting on him to leave, but it hasn't happened yet. Ugh! Glad you have the money to cover the stuff.

    I got a brief visit, but can't complain, because he hasn't been by for a long time (knock on wood!) He seems to be specializing in vehicles this week. Mine was car repair too.

    I'm sorry but I just had to get rid of Murphy and having him for 6 months. My husband fell in July and broke his arm and cheek bone so the place he was working said that they had to let him go because he hadn't been working there for a year yet... something to do with their insurance. Then school starts and my son needs new jeans because he must have grown 3 inches over the summer...then all the dr's appointments for the breaks to husband....then our car decides to go one the fritz and husband has to drive me to work so he can use the other car. Seems like everytime I turned around something else turned up...I'm sorry but just couldnt' afford Murphy anymore. PLEASE forgive me....!!!!

    Geesh Mary, what did you do to Murphy to cause him to create that much havoc!!! Sounds like you need to shoot his a$$.
