A Little Feedback, Please?
Okay, so dd's party is tomorrow. It's a 39 clues party. I've come up with a crime, but I'm not sure I've been thorough enough. The following info will be in a case file folder for each guest and they'll have to try to solve the crime. I'm still a little loopy on my post-op meds, so I'm afraid it isn't all it could be.
I'd appreciate your feedback!
The Victim:
Matthew “Monkey” Bozza
The Crime:
As Matthew “Monkey” Bozza headed to bed on Friday night, he found that his favorite nighttime lovey, “Blue Blankie,” was missing. The last time blue blankie was seen, it was laying on Monkey’s bed, waiting to be snuggled.
The Suspects:
Mommy “The Cleaner” Bozza – The Cleaner has previously been arrested for moving items while cleaning up the house, and then forgetting where she put them. As she was dragged off to jail, she was heard to yell, “But it’s messy! The house must be cleaned!” She is currently out on parole.
Patrick “Big Brother” Bozza – Big Brother was on trial last year for allegedly taking the Monkey’s toys and hiding them because, as he said, “That’s what big brothers do.” The jury found him innocent, though, as they believed his courtroom testimony in which he said that he loved the Monkey and would never want to make him sad. Although he was not convicted, it is possible that Big Brother may have taken blue blankie, trying to keep things interesting because of the cabin fever the family has caught due to all the snow.
Julia “Jailhouse” Bozza – Jailhouse has served time for “accidentally” kicking toys under beds, into closets, and other strange places, as she walks around the house with her nose in a book or her DS. The judge has reminded her to be more aware of her surroundings, but it is possible that Jailhouse slipped, and is the culprit for the missing blue blankie.
The Evidence:
1. Dirty sock – A medium-sized dirty sock was found laying in the doorway of Monkey’s bedroom. There was no other dirty laundry in the area. After interviewing the family, police decided the sock could have belonged to anyone in the family, as the adults sometimes wore socks that were too small and the kids sometimes wore socks that were too big.
2. A smear of blue liquid on the doorframe. Police were unable to get a fingerprint from the liquid, but it appears to have been left there by the thief.
3. One of Monkeys books was found, out of the bookcase, partially under his bed. It appeared as though the book had been knocked out of the bookcase and then kicked toward the bed.
4. One of Big Brother’s trains was found at the foot of Monkey’s bed. Toys are usually put away before bedtime, so police were unable to come up with an explanation as to why the train was in Monkey’s room.
Who do you think committed the crime, and what do you think happened? My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Well, let's see. It couldn't have been The Cleaner or there'd be no dirty sock on the floor.
Julia may have knocked the book off and kicked it under the bed.
Big brother may have walked in to the room, left his train, and taken the blanket.
No idea about the blue liquid on the doorframe.
Hopefully the kids won't be stumped too. :

I think it was "The Cleaner". Mommy went into Matthew's room to gather things for the laundry. While entering the room, she tripped on the train, which had been in the hallway, kicking it into the room. Trying to support herself, she grabbed the doorframe, leaving the blue smear of laundry detergent. When she stumbled, she accidentally knocked the book out of the book case and kicked it toward the bed and dropped the dirty sock. I believe the blankie was pulled off the bed, in the melee, and also accidentally kicked under the bed.
Am I right?
BTW, this is such a very cool idea for a party.~ Michelle
