I did something stupid!!!
My cable co. sent us these coupons for free movies on the ON Demand channel. You pick a movie and watch it and then send the coupons in w/your next bill.
So we watched 3 movies. Then I found out that the coupons were good for 1 movie per month. Sure enough it was in the fine (and very faint grey) print.
I will be able to use one coupon next month, but I have to pay for the other 2 movies.
It may not seem like much of an expense , $10 extra at most. But I am so mad at myself for not paying closer attention!!!!
I called the cable co. and they can't help me .
Oh well, just need to vent at my mistake.Truck paid off 12/07(paid in full)

They count on you not paying attention, that's why the rules are in tiny print. I bet a lot of folks don't even use the coupon at all.

The point is - did you and your family enjoy watching the movie together? Remember, family bonding time is priceless.
Going forward you'll think twice about using the coupons or On Demand and will read the fine print first.
Just learn from this and go forward.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

At least you didn't send all the coupons in without noticing and can still use the others. I bet lots of people handed them all over, paid the extra movies, and lost the upcoming freebies too.
It happens, and wasn't a horribly costly slip up. But I know, and this is from experience, how aggravating it is to make a mistake like this.Donna

I know how you feel. Listen to my big mess up.
I did an online survey and received an offer for mineral make-up. A trial membership for $9.99 and you receive a free kit. Well I read everything, including how to cancel after 10 days.
I check my bank account, not only did they charge me $9.99 for the membership, I was charged $130.00 for the kit! I was pi$$ed. I went back to my email confirmation and read through it again. Then I googled the company. First thing that comes up is the National Better Business Bureau with tons of complaints about the fine print you can not read stating the $9.99 is the discount membership price and the kit is not free but $130.00.
As you might have guessed the kit was not delivered with in the 10 days so I could not return it to get my money back. Basically I was SOL. I was able to cancel my "membership" and told the young lady in no uncertain terms how deceptive they were. Of course she did not seem to care.
I hardly ever get taken but this time I did.Carrie, ravenmaniac - I love my Ravens!!!!

Fortunately it was $10 for 2 movies. Around here you can't go to the movie theatre for less than $6 on specific days and times.
Hang on to those coupons. Definately something to look forward to each month.
