Thumbs up Finally!! a real productive day...

I finally got the girls FAFSA apps done, accountant called and said our taxes are done ( we are getting a refund!!! We have had to pay for years, I know, I know ....free loan for the Gov) but it is better than having to pay....and we will be able to pay the deductible to fix the girls' cars, both girls have had accidents this winter, due to really bad weather...they are buying their own cars, so we provide the insurance and maintenance....and hopefully pay off some dr bills... 4 weeks ago, I fell going down the stairs to work in my beauty shop and fractured my ankle..I have had to wear one of these lovely clunky boots but it is better than an actual cast..I go to the ortho on Monday. They originally said I would have to wear it for 4-6 weeks, so we will see then. I am a little bit concerned though, because I did great for 3 weeks and then all of a sudden , it (the pain) has gotten so much worse. I am wondering if they read the xray wrong and maybe more damage than they thought. Our hospital is notorious for this....reading them and saying either nothing is wrong or not as bad as it ends up being. So hopefully I get good news when I go, but then again, we will see. Hope you all are having a wonderful day.....

Congrats on getting so much done today, and I agree about the free loan, but sometimes it happens and you gotta love the refunds!

And Mauimagic is, of course, upbeat and happy and positive and cheering everyone on, while she is definitely not having a wonderful day, sitting waiting for the tsunami to roll in. It's why we love her.

Congrats on the Fafsa! What a pain that is! I just did dd's a couple of weeks ago and we are now in the process of applying for every scholarship the school can find for us LOL.

We get a refund every year, not a huge one though. I set it up that way to be sure that we don't have to pay.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. We have one of those hospitals here too. I can't tell you how many people I know who've been up there for broken bones and had to go elsewhere or have more done later because the ER screwed things up. When my one year old nephew broke his arm they told my SIL that he would be fine for two days until he could see the ortho. When he saw the ortho he had a fit. Said the ER should have called him in immediately and they had to put my nephew to sleep and rebreak it and set it. Hope your's heals soon!
