I like the portfolio idea. Do you have a corporate cake decorator? I work at the head office of 5 hotel chains and we have a corporate chef here. Well, he's hardly 'here', because he travels to all the hotels and teaches the chefs what the menu should look like, makes sure the cooking is upto our standards. He is also in the hotels the week before they open, to help train all the kitchen staff. He helped develop a new brand of restaurant, etc.

So today I found out that I am getting transfered to the other store close to where I am now which is good! I will still be working in bakery. Bad news is today I got into it with another co-worker. Wont get into details but he is basically a ohh she did this and I am gonna go tell and start drama even on stuff I did not do type of guy. He wants to me a manager and he loves kissing up. Today he kept telling me oh you are not going to a close store, you are going far away, and I said how do you know? He said I know. I said thats not what I was told and he said I was told wrong I am going far away. He was trying to make me worry and upset. Then he comes back later in the day and gets into a fight with me about me being in another department which was not true. I got sick of it and told on him. Well he turned it all around on me apparently and my bakery manager got yelled at apparently because of me. Such stupid stuff. So yeah, lets hope I don't get in trouble for any of this. I did not even do anything wrong. Its a bunch of he did, she did, he said she said stuff....
so good news and bad news.
I am also moving in 3 days! Friday can't come soon enough!

Sounds like a really lousy day at work, but this too will pass. Focus on moving and leaving the drama behind while hoping there won't be the same at the next location.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Your bakery manager knows you by now and surely knows that you are not a troublemaker.
Come on, Friday!Donna

Ashley the best thing you can do is go to your bakery manager and the bakery managers boss and say, "I'm sorry - I allowed a co-worker to get under my skin, and it created friction and trouble for my own manager."
If you do that, and you don't let him get to you again, his being involved in multiple incidents like this (I'm sure there will be more) will out him as the problem he is. All you need to do is focus on doing your best job. You do not have to allow him to engage you in his crap. YOU make the choice to give people like that a target for their ammo. If you refuse to engage, they have no way to win.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I am off tomorrow but you are right, my bakery manager was not mad at all, he totally knows its not me so he did not care but on Thursday when I go in if my store manager says something to me I was planning on apologizing for letting it get to me and and being overly emotional about it. I mean, I think being emotional today was expected being some people basically lost their jobs like my friend jen who does not drive and they sent her to a store almost 2 hours away...it was an emotional day. I am only human.
