Default The time is getting closer!!!

I have not posted in a while so I thought I would update!

With my store closing on March 13th DH and I decided instead of getting a 2bedroom apt, we would get a 1 bedroom. We just wanted the extra space, but decided its not a nessesity and boy am I happy we did! Its $250 bucks cheaper, has a brand new kitchen and appliances (and black granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom!), the bathroom is brand new, and we get a full size washer and dryer!!! AND they pay the water so its like saving me tons on money!!!

So I am happy we did this! My work should be letting me know in about 5-7 days what store I am going to...bakery corporate lady tells me that they will keep me a decorator and the store will be close to where I live (which means there are 2 stores I could go to!). Pay will be the same and I will still be full time (full time is considered 32-40 hours and right now I am getting 40 so I hope it stays at 40!).

Bakery Corporate lady comes into work yesterday and says that she loves my work and wants to know if I will do a 'show case' for all the stores to see. I said I don't understand what it is and she said all the stores go to this showcase and they set it up as what everyones stores are suppose to look like. I said yes, and after she left my store manager comes up to me and says that bakery corporate lady was talking me up and store manager says I should feel very priviladged! Woo hoo!!

Dh is also getting signed on at his work on Monday and a real empolyee and not a temp so thats also great news, and with that comes a raise!

I can't wait to get out of dads in 11 days! Could not come sooner! I have not even started packing yet though, lol.

    Anyway---there it is!!!

Miss you all! Sorry I have not posted. I have not had a day off in forever!!!

Congrats Ashley Keep focus, do not let anything make you falter in your confidence in moving out within the next 11 days. Start packing them boxes now so it's less stressful on moving day. It will literally be load and bolt!

BTW: Good job in knowing the diff between a want (2BR) and a need (1BR). *thumbs up*

That is just good news all around. I'm so happy to see that you and DH are finally getting a break. You'll be much happier and less stressed out on your own.

And way to go with the showcase! We knew you would impress everyone. You're on their keeper list for sure.

    Thanks for updating us
Sounds like a good decision to go with the 1 bedroom apt.

You got a nice compliment at work about your cake skills

How great for you! We did the same thing when we decided to pack up and move to FL; got a 1 bedroom and not a 2, and ended up with a brand new remodeled condo with tile and granite in the kitchen for waaaaay less than a 2 bedroom non-remodeled unit. I'm so excited for you!! And congrats on your showcase also. One thing, START PACKING lol, I went a full 48 hours without sleep when we drug our feet packing. Then to top it off, I drove 15 hours straight one day only to have my senile cat keep me awake the 5 hours I was supposed to be sleeping....It was a crazy week! Do yourself a favor and definitely start at least "flinging" things you don't want/need/have room for. It'll save you hours of sleep later LOL.

I'm glad everything is moving along in a positive direction for you I know you've struggled alot lately.

Yep its time to get packin! What I did last time I moved was every night after work I made myself pack 2-3 boxes minimum and sort what I wanted to get rid of as I went along. Makes it so much easier to have most of your stuff packed when moving day is here.

Congrats on the new apartment, and the good news at work!

Awesome updates for both of you! Really glad to hear that things are starting to turn in positive directions! That corporate show case stuff is awesome - listen get LOTS of pictures and use that to start building or adding to your portfolio - if you keep this up you will not be far from being picked up by a professional cake decorating shop! Keep it up!!!

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
