Interesting Article - 12 biggest rip-offs
I apologize if this has been posted before. Most of these are very very common sense, but I still thought it was an interesting read.

I disagree with the texting. That was the best thing invented ever. We pay 30 a month for unlimited texting and I'm sure it's around 6 thousand texts a month between us all that we use. lol
To me it's worth the dollars spent.

I couldn't agree more about the Movie Popcorn price. And truthfully they low-balled it. I've seen it as high as $12. Insanity
!!
Thanks for the post!

Well, I agree with texting being a rip-off just because it takes such a smaller bandwidth to send/receive. That should just be part of phone service. We don't have it because we refuse to pay $30/month for it (what AT&T would add for our plan). But, it is a useful tool! Just ridiculously overpriced!
Textbooks are my big pet peeve. Freakin' ridiculous!! ARGH!! And I have 4 more years of school!!!!
I have to disagree with the all-you-can-eat buffets being a rip-off (to a small extent). Where they may not be the best "bang for your buck" when I eat...my husband can REALLY get our money's worth (which is why we rarely go! hahaha MEGA calories!).
One of the comments hit the point that I think is the biggest (or one of them) rip off. Fancy coffees!! I don't care how good it tastes...how can a 12 oz. coffee be worth $5?!?! (I don't drink coffee and boy am I glad!).

I totally agree with the printer ink cartridges too. You gotta love the deals - buy computer, get a free printer! Woo-hoo! I did that once because I needed the computer and it was the one I wanted. I gave the printer away. No way am I buying ink jet cartridges.
I have a tiny HP laser black only printer, fine for me since I don't need color. The cartridges are costly, but the last a very long time. My last one lasted a couple of years or longer.Donna

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I loved the picture about the ink cartridges. "Either printer ink is made of unicorn blood or we're all getting screwed." I laughed so hard!

I was at the movies yesterday, by FAR the biggest rip-off. 1 small bag of Twizzlers was 6 bucks. I had a gift card I got as a gift to cover the rest, but usually the movies is a 50 dollar trip for 2 people.

I have to agree with most of this. I heard that text messaging does not even cost cell phone companys any money!!! My 3 girl friends and I went to the movies...a small soda was $5.50 and a small popcorn was $6. It was CRAZY!!! More than the movie ticket!!!
